Best tutorials for a 3DS Max beginner :
First of all I want to say that if you are a beginner, don’t start by making cars and complicated objects. First thing that you need to do is to understand the interface of 3DS Max, to get familiar with the buttons and functions. In this article I will tell you what kind of tutorials you should follow if you are a beginner in 3DS Max but I will also give you a few hints.
I have made my first car after 6 months. In those 6 months I have learned what every button do. I have also learned that if you want a nice mesh for your high polygon models you need to avoit triangles. They will ruin your mesh when you will apply a smooth modifier on your object. The other interesting thing that I’ve learned it was the meaning of the chamfering tool. This tool split the corners/ edges into several parts. If you will create some high poly models, you will always use it. If you will chamfer and edge then you will apply a smooth modifier the object, that edges will be sharper.
Here you have a list with some tutorials that you should read if you are a beginner in 3DS Max :
In this tutorial you will learn how to create a brake disc using splines. Its everything explain, so anyone can follow this tutorial wihout problems .
Another tutorial for a 3DS max beginner is this one. I will show you how to create a cloth mesh, in our case is a table cloth. You apply this kind of mesh on any kind of object and I think it might be useful for you.
This is another useful tutorial for a 3DS Max beginner because everything is extremely well explained. In this tutorial you will learn how to model a speaker but in the second chapter you will learn how to texture it
This is the second chapter of the speaker tutorial. In this tutorial you will learn how to use the modifier Unwrap UVW then how to create the textures using photoshop.
These are my recommendations for a 3DS Max beginner. Of course, you can follow any tutorial from our website, but in my opinion, these ones are the best explained (and the premium tutorials of course).
