40. The parts wont fit correctly because we need one more polygon. To do this, take a look at this part :

41. We can add a row of edges but before, put the vertices as below :

42. Here is the step were we will add that row of edges. Select the same edges ad I did, and use the “Connect” tool to add a row of edges in the middle :

43. And now we are able to use the “bridge” tool to add 2 rows of polygons betwen the fender and the body :

44. Do the same thing to the rest of the body, attach it to the fender :

45. When the car’s body is attached to the fender like in the image, continue to model the car until you reach the rear. As I have said at the begining of this tutorial, try to make the same wireframe as me, and this is why I am providing you so many images, to see how I did it and understand it :) .
PS : I have noticed that top view is not very accurate but I hope that this won’t be a problem for you. Just use the rear and side view and everything should be fine :)

        Yes I did ages ago found your tutorials really really helpful. Haven’t had the time to come back and do some more but this ford escort tutorial looks really cool.

            Brilliant. I’m quite advanced on cars now but I like to find new tutorials to see if I can learn new techniques. Also interior is one thing I have not been able to model so looking forward to that. :)

            Also not sure if you supply them but that RAR file that you give doesn’t actually have the blueprints in the folder, it’s only the 3ds max file

    Hello! Firstly, thank you for that tutorial! Secondly, on the 4th picture page 7, how do you make the selected border straight? is it a shortcut? or do I have to move all the vertices?

    • When the edges are selected, scroll down in the modifier menu and you will find the “align” menu. Choose X,Y or Z to see which one is better for you

    Hi it’s me again :) from the picture 95 to the picture 96, the round for the light seems rounder, did you apply turbosmooth or sthg else? Thank you :)

    • Yes, I have applied a mesh-smooth just to see how it looks and where to place the bolts

    Image 4 in Page 14. How do you make that border?

    • Select an edge (or more) , hold the shift button and drag it to create the border. Do the same thing for all polygons from that part and don’t forget to use the “weld” tool to connect the vertices. This is the first and also the last time when I am offering support on the website. If you need support, make an account on the forum and post there. This is the purpose of the forum

    How do you manage so many vertexes like on the wheel arches, down on the front bumpers, I always have problems to get a smooth not bumpy surface
